Nice some action! I measured the bow using a leveled straight edge coming off the water line at 40-41" so yeah a 60" may work but the 72" will be better especially offshore. I am getting parts list together and am starting to feel the expense of the system and its a big one. Im thinking 2 AGM mighty max 75 ah batteries in boxes, 15' of 6 gauge duplex wire and associated terminal hardware, 50 amp breaker, pro mariner 2 bank charger, battery tender plug, and the unit. Looking like 3 large at least. Then comes the fun part of figuring out how to mount it. I see you used aluminum and starboard. I was thinking using a slab of 1/2' starboard inside the anchor locker as a backer plate, then a starboard pad on the deck to raise the base even with the bows tow rail lip. If I have to relocate the lights I was looking at those Taco rubrail lights more $$. I also have to figure out my dock situation because I slip the boat at a fixed dock and use the front cleat and chocks. At low tide the bow sits well below the level of the docks tie points so the motor may have to come off the boat every time I tie up. I guess that is a bridge I would cross at a much later date. Still trying to figure out how to finance this system. Decisions. Thanks for the pics and info keep em coming. The kicker is this will completely rewrite fishing for me and open up so much more so I know its worth the expense.
